Homebrew PVC encased vertical antenna.
The antenna is housed inside the vertical pipe, the stand off is only needed to mount to a tower or mast pipe.
The overall length of the Dual Band is approximately 56 inches tall and the 220mhz is approximately 36 inches tall.
They were designed by WT9H. He and I (WY9I ex N9QKZ) build them and offer them to you.
There are hundreds of these in use ALL over the US, Australia, Canada, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, England, Russia, Belgium, Ireland and Germany. We have had many happy repeat customers.
We have taken these to Dayton and mounted them to the railing on the balcony of our hotel room to use for voice and for packet.
Mount them in an attic if you are restricted on outside antennas you can put up. It can be mounted in the attic hanging from a piece of rope.
Mount this J-Pole on the side or on top of your tower.
They
have a low angle radiation pattern, this is a key to why they
work so well.
Obviously
the higher you mount it the better it will work.
This is an original design and each
antenna is made with high quality parts.
The SWR
runs 1.5:1 at the edges and around 1.2:1 near the center on both 2 meters and 70 cm. (FM
Ham Bands).
These
antennas are great for Field Day, using at you home Qth, take one with
you in the camper, setting up Ham Radio demonstrations, emergency
backup or disaster support. Plus anything else you can think of.
They will easily handle several hundred watts of power and will last for years. They come with a standard SO-239 connector so just screw on your coax and you are ready to go. They also ship with a stand off and a 2nd snap tee to attach it to your tower, mast pipe, or just a push up pole.
